Future Station Area in Andover, NJ - February 19, 2023...

 ALL ABOARD !

The following views show the approximate location where the future Station will be built, just east of Andover, NJ.  The pictures were shot at a time before major construction began and the area was open to walk through (it was a Sunday, though).  Walking through this area is now prohibited, and signs describing this have been posted around the site...

The first group of views look west from the Hill Cut towards the area where the Station will be built in Andover, NJ

-----------------------------

The next group of views look east from the portion of the Cut-Off which is not being rehabilitated (at this time).  These all look towards the area where the Station will be built, with the Hill Cut just beyond...

All views now look west again towards the area where the Station will be built

This view looks just beyond where the Station will be built.  The Route 206 tunnel through the Pequest Fill is just ahead about 1/4 mile.  From this point west, Amtrak's proposed line from Andover, NJ, to Scranton, PA, will hopefully be rehabilitated as well.  Initial reports suggest this may happen by 2028-2030.  Time will tell if this will actually happen or not...
